Grapes and Garnets: Exploring Garnets through 6 tasting glasses of wine - London - 27th April

Garnets are complex and the science behind them is a bit tricky sometimes. How can we make it easier to understand? By breaking the science down into interesting and easy to understand nuggets of info. And by tasting 6 different wines of course! For our April Grapes and Garnets we are kindly being hosted by Fellows.

Starting with the sparkling Grossular Garnets and a pleasing glass of Crémant, and working our way through to the rich Purple Almandine paired with a robust and jammy Malbec, we’ll explain why both the Garnets and the Wines come in different varieties and what their features are.

Join Kerry Gregory; Head of Shiny Stuff at Gemmology Rocks. (You might even get the pleasure of the company of The Long-Suffering Mr Andrew Lawrence)

A range of Garnets will be available for you to handle and observe, bread and cheese will be provided to mop up some of the wine (we don’t want anyone falling of their chair!). As well as witty banter, excellent education, decent tea and coffee and soft drinks should you so desire, all part of your ticket cost. We suggest you get public transport or a lift for this one!

These afternoons, are informal, fun, educational and a brilliant way to meet new people in the industry.
